The Ifri Ouaaha neighborhood in the commune of Imzouren, Al Hoceima province, saw a security alert on Monday, September 7, after an armed confrontation between police and a person holed up in a house.
The exchange of fire injured several police officers, while the suspect was shot as he tried to leave the house before being arrested.
The injured were taken to hospital.
A judicial investigation was opened under the supervision of the prosecutor's office.
According to preliminary information, the suspect may be linked to a cocaine trafficking network in the region, which remains to be confirmed.
