Exceptional promotion for police officer Hamza Zaam after death in Al Hoceima

The Director General of National Security, Abdellatif Hammouchi, has decided to grant an exceptional promotion to security officer Hamza Zaam, who died in the line of duty in Al Hoceima.
The deceased was a member of the anti-gang brigade of the regional security of Al Hoceima.
He was taking part in an operation to arrest an individual wanted nationally (20 arrest warrants).
During the intervention in Imzouren, the suspect offered violent resistance and opened fire, seriously injuring Hamza Zaam, who died on the way to hospital.
A technician specialized in opening doors was also injured.
The security forces brought the situation under control and arrested the suspect, aged 25, involved in cases of drugs, attempted murder, formation of a criminal gang, etc.
A judicial investigation was opened under the supervision of the competent prosecutor's office.
This promotion aims to honor the dedication of the deceased.
