Nador West Med Port to Start Operations in Late 2026

The Nador West Med port will begin operations in the last quarter of 2026 at a total cost of 5.6 billion dollars, the royal cabinet announced.
The Mediterranean's second deep-water port will have an annual capacity of five million containers, expandable to twelve million.
The infrastructure includes 5.4 kilometres of breakwaters, four kilometres of quays and four power plants, and is designed to host Morocco's first liquefied natural gas terminal, with a capacity of five billion cubic metres a year.
The project also sets aside 700 hectares for industrial and logistics activity, which has already drawn 20 billion dirhams in private investment.
The kingdom aims to replicate the success of the Tanger Med port.
