Tangier records over 1.31 million tourist overnight stays

Classified hotels in Tangier recorded more than 1.31 million tourist overnight stays in the first seven months of 2026, up 10 percent on the same period in 2025.
The city ranks fourth nationally with 5 percent of all overnight stays, behind Marrakech, Agadir and Casablanca.
The occupancy rate of Tangier's classified accommodation reached 58 percent, two points above the national average.
In July alone, overnight stays exceeded 257,000, up 7 percent, with an occupancy rate of 73 percent.
Across the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, the total reached 2.13 million overnight stays, a rise of just 1 percent, against 25.85 million nationwide.
