New direct sea link connects Nador to Setúbal
Dutch shipping company WEC Lines has launched a weekly direct service linking the port of Nador to Portugal's Setúbal, with a crossing of about three days.
The route gives Moroccan exporters an additional logistics path to the Iberian Peninsula and European markets, bypassing slow traditional overland supply chains.
Through Setúbal, containers can be transshipped to ports in northern Europe and Britain, cutting transit times and costs.
The company has also assigned refrigerated containers for fruit, vegetables and perishable goods, supporting the agricultural sector in the Oriental region.
