New shipping line links Nador to Portugal's Setúbal
A new shipping line between the ports of Nador and Setúbal in Portugal has entered service with a weekly rotation of about three days, giving Moroccan exporters a direct and regular route to European markets.
The service allows containers to be redirected from the Portuguese port to northern European ports and offers refrigerated containers suited to perishable agricultural and food products.
Economic operators say the regularity of the rotations makes it easier to plan shipments and deliveries and reduces reliance on limited routes, while strengthening the position of the port of Nador in maritime trade.
The challenge remains the line's sustainability and greater use by companies, including small and medium-sized firms.
