Oulad Stout commune president and 18 councilors join PAM in Nador
Saïd Toumi, president of the Oulad Stout commune in the province of Nador, has announced his move to the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM), accompanied by 18 communal councilors, during a meeting held in Saïdia on Thursday, September 3.
This political transition comes a few months before the upcoming elections and could redraw alliances and electoral calculations in the province.
The meeting was attended by Mohamed Mounni, head of the PAM list in Nador, as well as Fouzi Lekjaa and several political figures from the Oriental region.
The move of Toumi and the 18 councilors is of particular importance on the electoral map, given the electoral weight of the Oulad Stout commune and the presence of its president in the local landscape.
This step constitutes an electoral loss for the Istiqlal Party, which has lost a number of elected officials at once, while it is expected to constitute an important electoral boost for the PAM in the Oriental region, especially for Mohamed Mounni, who is preparing for the upcoming legislative elections in the province of Nador.
