Exceptional promotion for Hamza Zaam after his martyrdom in Al Hoceima

The Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, decided to grant an exceptional promotion to security guard Hamza Zaam, who died in the line of duty while serving in the anti-gang brigade of the regional security in Al Hoceima.
Zaam died from a gunshot wound from a hunting rifle during a joint operation with the Royal Gendarmerie in the Imzouren area, aimed at arresting a 25-year-old man wanted for drug trafficking, attempted murder, forming a criminal gang, kidnapping, and violence.
During the intervention, the suspect offered violent resistance and opened fire on security forces, fatally wounding the guard and injuring a door-opening technician.
The forces neutralized the danger and arrested the suspect, who is now under judicial investigation supervised by the competent prosecutor's office to uncover all circumstances and his connections to drug trafficking networks and violent crime.
