A serious road accident occurred on Sunday, September 6, in the afternoon on the road linking the center of the commune of Bni Gmil Mestassa to several neighboring douars near Oued Laacherine.
The driver of a Mercedes 207 lost control of his vehicle, which left the road and fell down a slope into the oued.
The accident killed the driver and injured six other people, some seriously.
The competent services went to the scene; the victim's body was transferred to the morgue and the injured to the emergency department of the Mohammed VI regional hospital.
The Royal Gendarmerie opened an investigation under the supervision of the public prosecutor's office to determine the exact circumstances and causes of the accident and establish responsibilities.
