The National Institute of Geophysics recorded on Sunday an earthquake of magnitude 4.4 on the Richter scale in Driouch province.
The National Seismic Monitoring and Alert Network said the epicenter was located off the coast of the province, and the quake occurred at 12:40:03 (GMT+1).
The source added that the earthquake was recorded at a depth of 23 km, at latitude 35.556 degrees north and longitude 3.610 degrees west.
No material or human damage was reported.
