Businessman Ismail Chenouf, from the Amtalssa tribe in Driouch province, has announced his resignation from the National Rally of Independents (RNI) party and all its structures.
He sent an official letter to the party president confirming the end of his membership as of the date of resignation, with copies to the provincial governor and the party's regional coordinator for the Oriental.
Chenouf confirmed the news by phone, stating that his decision is due to personal reasons without further details.
This step comes in a local political context, as Chenouf is a prominent figure in the region.
