A young man from Ben Taieb in the province of Driouch died on Wednesday in a hospital in the province of Al Hoceima from injuries sustained in a traffic accident that occurred more than two weeks ago on the national road linking Al Hoceima and Nador, near the commune of Imzouren.
The accident resulted from a collision between a motorcycle and a car.
During the gendarmerie's inspection, approximately 1.2 kg of cocaine was found on the motorcyclist, allegedly intended for trafficking.
The deceased was known to security services and had a criminal record.
By order of the prosecutor, the judicial investigation continues to determine the origin of the shipment and its destination, as well as to identify possible accomplices.
