Al Hoceima Elections: Strong Competition Between Experience and New Faces
The Al Hoceima constituency is heading to the September 23 elections in an atmosphere of intense competition, with parties vying for the four seats.
In 2021, the Istiqlal Party, led by Noureddine Madyan, came first with over 22,000 votes, followed by the National Rally of Independents with Boutaher Boutahiri, and then the Authenticity and Modernity Party and the Popular Movement.
But the 2016 results showed changes, with the PAM winning two seats.
This year, strategies differ: some parties field new candidates like Istiqlal with Mohamed Hammoudani, while others retain experienced figures like Mohamed Hammouti and Mohamed El Araj.
The competition also includes names like Abdelhak Amghar, Hanane Maâroufi, and Latifa Aabouth.
Success depends on the ability to mobilize and reach voters, as experience alone does not guarantee victory.
