Al Hoceima Port Welcomes First Summer Crossings

Al Hoceima Port Welcomes First Summer Crossings
Al Hoceima port received Tuesday the first maritime crossings of the 2026 summer season, with the arrival of the Armas ferry from Motril, Spain.
The ship carried over 800 passengers and about 190 cars, with arrangements to ensure smooth transit.
This crossing is part of the maritime link program between Al Hoceima and Motril, aimed at boosting transport during peak season and welcoming the Moroccan diaspora under Operation Marhaba 2026.
This route brings northern Morocco closer to southern Spain and eases pressure on other ports.
Crossings are expected to increase in the coming weeks, boosting the local economy, trade, and tourism.
It also strengthens the port's role as a vital gateway.
