A 24-year-old man died on Sunday evening after suffering a severe electric shock in the commune of Tifarouine, Al Hoceima province.
The man, from the douar of Bni Bouste, had climbed an electricity pole in a nearby playground to repair a lamp.
Authorities arrived at the scene and the body was transferred to the provincial hospital.
An investigation was opened.
