According to well-informed sources, Malika Houleche, sister of the former president of the Nador commune, has obtained the Popular Movement party's nomination to lead the party's regional list in the Oriental region, in preparation for the upcoming legislative elections.
This decision comes after the party granted its nomination to Mohamed Boudou to lead the local list, thus revealing the contours of the party's electoral formation at both regional and provincial levels.
Observers believe that Malika Houleche's entry into the regional competition adds a new element to the electoral landscape, given the connection of the Houleche family name with local politics in Nador.
The Popular Movement appears determined to strengthen its presence in the upcoming elections, while other parties continue to gradually reveal their candidates.
The picture is expected to become clearer in the coming days as the filing of candidacy files continues, with the deadline set for September 8.
