A royal commission, led by the royal chamberlain, supervised on Tuesday morning, September 1, 2026, the delivery of a financial donation to the caretakers of the mausoleum of Cherif Mohamed Amzian in Azghenghan, Nador province, as part of preparations for commemorating the anniversary of the death of the late King Hassan II.
The ceremony took place in the presence of the governor of Nador province, Jamal Chaarani, and several heads of services, security and civil authorities, the president of the local scientific council, the delegate of the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs, and the curator of Habous of Nador, as well as jurists and religious figures.
The occasion included the recitation of the Fatiha for the soul of Cherif Mohamed Amzian, then prayers for King Mohammed VI, the Crown Prince, and the royal family, and for the Moroccan people.
The ceremony also evoked the memory of the late Kings Hassan II and Mohammed V.
This initiative is part of a religious and national tradition accompanying the commemoration, and reflects the continued care for religious sites and historical figures.
