The family space in the Sonacid neighbourhood of Selouane was inaugurated on Monday morning under the name Hajja Fatna Daanoune.
The project is the result of a partnership between the Tayssir association managing the mother's house in Nador, the Selouane municipality and the National Initiative for Human Development.
The association contributed two million dirhams, the municipality provided the land and the INDH supported construction and equipment.
The ceremony was attended by the pasha, the head of the administrative annex, the communal council president and civil society actors.
Management is entrusted to the Regional Union of the National Union of Moroccan Women.
The space offers workshops in cooking, sewing, IT and languages, a nursery, a listening unit and a Quran memorisation room for women.
