Fugitive Naim El Bouazati, known as Monaim N Selouane, was arrested on the evening of Tuesday, June 10, at a tourist facility in the Izana area.
Three security officers detained him around 6 p.m.
after he resisted.
The arrest comes years after his escape from Nador's local prison on March 17, 2007, in a four-wheel-drive vehicle.
The region has seen repeated escapes by inmates convicted in drug-trafficking cases, including that of Mimoun Soussi from the agricultural prison in Zaio.
