The plant of Chinese company Aeolon, which specialises in wind turbine blades, has begun production in the Betoya zone of Nador province, the group's first facility outside China.
Officially opened in May 2025 and built in about 15 months on nearly 50 hectares, it represents an investment of around 220 million euros.
At full capacity, it is expected to produce some 600 blade sets a year and create more than 3,300 jobs, with annual revenue of about 626 million euros.
The site is designed to export to Europe, Africa and the Middle East, helped by its proximity to the Nador West Med port.
