The mausoleum of Sidi Mohamed Amziane in Azghang hosted a religious gathering on Monday evening marking the 28th anniversary of the death of King Hassan II.
The governor of Nador province, Jamal Chaarani, attended alongside security and civil officials, religious figures and local personalities.
The event opened with Quranic recitation and praise of the Prophet, before a member of the local scholarly council reviewed milestones of the late monarch's reign, including the building of state institutions and support for development.
It closed with prayers for King Mohammed VI and the royal family.
