The Memory and Future association of Azghang, in partnership with the Nador provincial council, is organising a cultural week to mark the 107th anniversary of the death of Chérif Sidi Mohamed Ameziane, from 15 to 19 May 2019, in the centres of Azghang, Ihadaden, Selouane, Beni Ansar and Amjjaou.
The programme includes tributes to resistance fighters and families of Rif resistance figures, lectures on the struggle against colonialism in the region, competitions in drawing, photography and chess, alongside book and handicraft exhibitions.
The event is supported by the Azghang municipality, the local scientific council, the delegation for Islamic affairs and other partners, in coordination with the delegation of former resistance members and the multidisciplinary faculty of Nador.
