Scientific research is increasingly relying on modern probabilistic models to improve the forecasting of earthquakes.
These approaches analyse accumulated seismic data and detect fine variations in the Earth's crust, instead of relying on classic patterns.
Specialists believe such tools could increase the accuracy of estimates in seismically active zones, including northern Morocco, without yet allowing a certain prediction of the place and time of a quake.
The main goal remains reducing human and material losses by strengthening early warning and prevention plans.
