Moroccan trainees join first container handling operations at Nador West Med

Moroccan trainees took part in the first practical container handling operations at the container terminal of Nador West Med port, following specialised training supervised by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
The training covered the operation of handling equipment and the requirements of working in a container terminal, before the trainees moved to hands-on practice in receiving ships and handling containers.
Specialised technical staff supervised the operation, and a delegation from the Academy visited the terminal to assess the participants' readiness.
Terminal management praised the level of training and the trainees' ability to apply their technical skills in a real operating environment.
The initiative is part of cooperation between Morocco and the Academy to develop maritime and port skills, as the port enters a new phase of operation.
