Roadworks in Anoual, Selouane halted mid-project

Road renovation works in the Anoual neighbourhood of Selouane, Nador province, have come to a complete halt after the contractor withdrew and removed its machinery at the start of Ramadan.
Residents of the area, located near the university campus, had welcomed the project carried out by Al Omrane under the third phase.
The streets have turned into unpaved tracks riddled with potholes, making movement difficult and complicating vehicle access to garages.
In winter they become waterlogged, while in summer dust drifts into homes.
Locals are asking why the works stopped and who is responsible for the situation.
