Two-month suspended sentence upheld for wife who expelled husband from marital home

The appeals criminal chamber of the Al Hoceima court upheld the first-instance ruling against a wife prosecuted for expelling her husband from the marital home.
The lower court had sentenced her to two months in prison suspended and a fine of 2,000 dirhams, with costs charged to her.
On the civil side, it awarded the husband 2,000 dirhams in compensation after accepting his claims.
Following the appeal, the chamber declared the challenge admissible and confirmed the initial judgment in all its provisions, with the defendant bearing the costs of both the public and civil actions.
