Nador: 1.22 Billion Dirham Transport Plan Awaits Implementation
An official urban transport plan for Greater Nador has for years provided for a dedicated-lane collective transport network built in three phases at an estimated total cost of around 1.2285 billion dirhams.
The first phase covers 43 kilometres, including a southern line from Nador station to Selouane serving the university hub and the logistics zone.
Reality, however, moved faster: the university hub now has four faculties, the new regional hospital was established in Selouane, and Nador West Med is nearing operation.
Vectalia manages urban and suburban transport under a delegated contract and launched a smart electronic payment card in June 2026.
The question remains what has actually been delivered to meet the daily needs of workers, patients and students.
