Morocco's Eastern region recorded 2,790 new business registrations in the first half of 2026, according to data from the Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property.
Nador province leads with 1,196 companies, ahead of Oujda (827) and Berkane (352).
Registrations are split almost evenly between legal entities (1,401) and sole traders (1,389), a pattern that differs from the national trend, which is clearly dominated by companies.
Trade accounts for 42.74% of registrations, followed by construction and real estate (18.52%) and miscellaneous services (16.19%).
The single-member limited liability company dominates legal forms with 63.4%.
