The National Judicial Police Brigade is investigating a complaint over non-subdivision certificates issued without legal basis in Selouane, after referral by the public prosecutor at the Nador appeal court.
Investigators spent several days in the commune and heard elected officials, staff and authority agents, pending the final report.
Sources speak of numerous certificates suspected of being issued without registration in communal records, in exchange for money.
The case follows a similar file in Ras El Ma, suggesting the probe could extend to other communes in the province.
