The future of the ferry link between the Spanish port of Motril and Al Hoceima is raising concern among residents of the province and Moroccans living abroad, after part of the Armas group's activities were transferred to Baleària.
No official cancellation decision has been announced, but the line's fate remains uncertain for the coming season amid a restructuring of the group's assets.
During the Marhaba operation, the route carried more than 40,000 passengers and over 9,000 vehicles before sailings ended on 4 September.
Users are waiting to learn whether the new company will keep the service running and at what frequency, given the link's economic and tourism importance for Al Hoceima.
