The relevant services of Al Hoceima province have launched a tender to acquire six new buses for school transport serving several local authorities, with a budget exceeding 250 million centimes, under the National Initiative for Human Development.
The operation aims to strengthen the school transport fleet and improve pupils' travel conditions, especially in areas where schools are far from homes or where transport is limited.
Several communes face overcrowded buses and the ageing mechanical condition of part of the fleet, which affects service regularity.
The new vehicles are expected to ease pressure on transport, particularly in rural and mountainous areas.
