New Quran memorisation branch established in Selouane

The local scientific council of Nador province, in cooperation with the provincial delegation for Islamic affairs, oversaw the creation of a Quran memorisation branch attached to the Imam Malik school for traditional teaching, whose main site is in Oulad Brahim near Nador.
The branch was set up at a meeting held at the Al-Fath kuttab in the Al Omrane district of Selouane after the afternoon prayer, where a nine-member administrative board was formed.
In an opening speech, the head of the Imam Malik school and president of the scientific council praised the initiative as a cornerstone of education, recalling the tradition of Quranic kuttabs that raised children before they entered school.
The kuttab is a vital facility of the recently opened mosque.
