The motorway project linking Driouch to Guercif is entering a decisive phase, with work on its third section more than 95 % complete.
The 27-kilometre segment will connect National Road 2 at the Driouch interchange to National Road 16, about eight kilometres from the Nador West Med port.
Field teams are currently finishing horizontal and vertical signage and the last technical touches ahead of its opening to traffic.
The second section, 40 kilometres long between National Road 2 and Sakia, stands at just 8 % because of the difficult terrain.
The project's total cost is 7.8 billion dirhams, with major earthworks and large engineering structures carried out by Moroccan firms and specialists.
