Abdellah Boukili, a member of parliament and provincial coordinator of the National Rally of Independents in Driouch, has launched his campaign for the upcoming legislative elections, betting on direct contact with residents and a strong field presence.
He is drawing on his parliamentary experience and a network of ties with local actors and elected officials across the province's communes.
The launch comes amid stiff competition for the province's three parliamentary seats, with each candidate seeking to win voters' trust before the 23 September ballot.
Attention now turns to whether he can turn that field presence into broad electoral mobilisation.
