Selouane school marks 65th anniversary of Independence
The citizenship and human rights club at Selouane New Middle School, under the Nador directorate, held an educational evening marking the 65th anniversary of Independence, in line with Covid-19 preventive measures.
The event opened with Quranic recitations, followed by a speech by the school's director highlighting the significance of historical milestones for young people.
The history and geography teacher reviewed the national struggle for independence and territorial integrity, recalling 20 August 1953 and the return of the late King Mohammed V from exile.
Pupils presented research on the Green March and Independence, sang national anthems and set up an exhibition of historical photos and books.
