Magnitude 3.9 earthquake in Driouch province
The National Institute of Geophysics announced the recording of an earthquake measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale in Driouch province.
The National Seismic Monitoring and Warning Network said the epicentre was located off the province's coast, with the tremor occurring at 1:31 Greenwich time.
The same source added that the quake was recorded at a depth of 24 kilometres, at coordinates 35.655 degrees north and 3.517 degrees west.
No material or human damage was reported.
Driouch province and the eastern Rif experience recurring seismic activity of varying intensity.
