Nador governor reviews progress on new Selouane regional hospital

The governor of Nador province, Jamal Chairaani, chaired the monthly meeting of the provincial committee overseeing the construction of the new regional hospital in Selouane, attended by the regional health director, representatives of the National Agency for Public Equipment, local authorities and the companies involved.
Overall progress on the works stands at around 80 percent.
Discussions covered the medical equipment and staffing needed for the opening, planned for early 2026.
The governor urged faster completion of the remaining works and strict adherence to contractual deadlines, as well as quicker tenders for biomedical equipment.
The reorganisation of existing hospitals was also discussed to ensure complementary health services across the province.
The facility will cover 34,200 square metres of built area with a capacity of 250 beds, including surgery, general medicine, mother-and-child care, emergency, intensive care, medical imaging, laboratory and pharmacy.
The road linking the RN2 to the new hospital is also progressing on schedule.
