Morocco ranks first in North Africa in the 2026 global attractiveness index published by the center «The European House-Ambrosetti», placing 84th out of 146 countries, ahead of Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia and Mauritania.
The index assesses openness, innovation, resource availability and efficiency to measure economic resilience.
Infrastructure and port development, with the rise of Tanger Med and the new phase of Nador West Med, reinforces Morocco's position as a logistics platform between Europe and Africa and intensifies competition with Spanish ports in the Mediterranean.
