The building of the specialised institute of applied technology in Azghanghan was handed over to the vocational training directorate on Tuesday morning, after construction and equipment works were completed.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Oriental regional council, the regional vocational training directorate and the contractor.
Official opening is expected for the next academic year.
The institute will offer between six and eight technical and vocational specialities tailored to the local and regional labour market, with capacity for up to 800 trainees a year.
The project aims to bring training closer to young people in the area and ease their entry into the job market.
