The provincial office of the Free Education League in Nador, part of the General Union of Moroccan Workers, issued a strongly worded statement warning about deteriorating security around schools, especially Taha Hussein high school in Azghanghan.
It denounces reckless driving during student arrival and departure times, the running over of a female student, and harassment and damage targeting vehicles of administrative and teaching staff.
The office says these practices undermine the mission of public schools and threaten everyone's safety.
It calls on security and local authorities to intervene immediately and draw up an urgent traffic plan, and says it is ready to take legitimate union action.
