Rabat's anti-gang unit, in coordination with the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, arrested a notorious drug baron wanted in 51 cases.
The suspect was apprehended in Salé based on precise intelligence, after fleeing since August following criminal acts at a wedding in Azghanghane.
A check of security databases revealed the detainee was wanted by the national police and the Royal Gendarmerie for international trafficking of hard drugs, forming a criminal network, human trafficking and armed threats.
He was placed in police custody on the orders of the public prosecutor to deepen the investigation and identify possible links to other networks.
