Local authorities in Azghanghane carried out an operation that resulted in the seizure of several illegal vehicles, as part of efforts to enforce traffic rules and strengthen road safety in the area.
The action is part of a broader campaign targeting unauthorised vehicles or those not meeting legal requirements, which pose a danger to road users.
According to local sources, the operation was carried out in coordination between security services and provincial authorities, with the drivers concerned arrested and legal measures taken against them.
The intervention comes amid tighter controls on the informal transport sector, which is thriving in some areas.
Observers believe such operations help reduce disorder and organise the sector, pending their extension to neighbouring communes.
