A young man died this evening after being electrocuted inside an abandoned customs warehouse in the Al Amrane neighbourhood of Selouane, near Nador.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred at a site locally known as "the old customs", where the victim was struck by a powerful current and killed instantly.
Investigators are considering the possibility that he entered the premises under unclear circumstances, possibly linked to an attempted theft.
After being alerted, Royal Gendarmerie officers went to the scene and began their inquiries under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor.
The body was transferred to the morgue of Al Hassani Hospital in Nador for an autopsy, while the investigation continues.
