The director-general of the Office for Vocational Training and Labour Promotion officially launched the 2026-2027 training year from the specialised hotel and tourism institute in Oujda, for first-year trainees across the Kingdom's vocational training institutions.
On the sidelines, she made a field visit to the Cité des Métiers et des Compétences in Nador, in the presence of representatives of the vocational training sector in the Oriental region and professionals, to review the progress of training and available equipment.
The visit is part of strengthening the vocational training system in the Oriental region, which comprises 45 institutions, mobile units, prison institutions and contracted centres, alongside the Nador Cité des Métiers et des Compétences.
The director-general said the Office's institutions have welcomed around 125,000 first-year trainees at the start of the new season, with 15 new institutions expected to open across the Kingdom's regions this season.
