West Med Container Terminal, operator of the eastern terminal at Nador West Med port, announced that its operational preparations were completed ahead of the original schedule.
Site development works, equipment installation, information systems deployment and operating procedures were finalised, along with the recruitment and training of staff.
A trial call tested the flow of operations and coordination between the system's components.
The company says the terminal can handle the world's largest container ships, strengthening the port's position as a strategic platform in the Mediterranean.
