MSC NITA docks at Nador West Med
The port of Nador West Med has welcomed the container ship MSC NITA, arriving from the Italian port of Gioia Tauro, marking the facility's entry into effective operation.
The vessel is about 166.8 metres long and 27.4 metres wide, with a gross tonnage of 15,859 and a deadweight of 21,809 tonnes.
The operator of the eastern terminal announced that commissioning was completed after tests under real conditions, allowing the first commercial ships to be received and handled.
Choosing Nador over other Mediterranean ports confirms Morocco's growing role in maritime trade.
