The Constitutional Union is contesting the 23 September legislative elections in the Nador constituency with a list led by Abdelkader Akoudad, while Mahmedi Benali holds the second spot.
The party is betting on a campaign of proximity and direct contact with residents, built around a programme that reflects their daily concerns and places the defence of the province's interests at its core.
Benali's position is seen as an asset given his presence and contacts in various local circles, which the party hopes will broaden its electoral base.
Akoudad aims to turn the campaign into a real presence on the ground, listening to the demands of different groups.
The stated goal is to regain a place in the local parliamentary landscape and compete for one of the four seats allocated to the province.
