Nador West Med port declares eastern terminal ready

West Med Container Terminal, concession holder for the eastern terminal of the Nador West Med port, announced the completion of the terminal's operational readiness after a series of tests under real conditions.
It met the conditions to begin operations ahead of schedule, following development works, equipment installation, systems and procedures, and team training.
A ship carried out a trial berthing, testing the various operating phases and measuring the effectiveness of procedures and coordination.
The terminal can now receive and handle the world's largest container ships, strengthening the port's strategic role as a logistics and trade platform in the Mediterranean.
