The rollout of the pioneer schools model is continuing in Al Hoceima province in the new school year.
The programme now covers 100 of 144 primary schools and 12 of 38 middle schools.
Some 89,288 pupils are enrolled in public education, taught by 4,668 teachers.
The current phase relies on diagnostic assessments to measure learners' actual level before dividing them into three groups based on their mastery of the curriculum.
The intensive support programme is due to start next week, followed by explicit teaching about four weeks later.
Ahmed Boukmakh school in Imzouren is entering its third year in the scheme with 565 pupils in 19 classes.
Full rollout is expected next school year.
