Residents of several douars in the Bouarg commune, in the province of Nador, totaling over 15,000 people, suffer from the lack of middle and high schools in the area.
Students are forced to travel nearly 4 kilometers to reach schools in the Al Omrane subdivision, while some of these schools have vacant capacity.
This situation burdens families, especially those with daughters, and increases the risk of school dropout.
Residents are calling for urgent intervention from the province of Nador to support school transport with at least two additional buses, until new schools are built, to guarantee the right of Bouarg's children to close and safe education.
